Traveled to China to photograph the then to-be-demolished urban village in Shenzhen after nearly a decade of living in the US
2009
Granted Rafael Vinoly Architecture Research Fellowship to investigate urban housing in Shenzhen and Shanghai by utilizing photography as the primary investigative tool
2010
Published photographs of urban housing in Shenzhen and Shanghai in a book titled Pressures and Distortions
2011
Began looking for He Guizhen, a migrant displaced by the Three Gorges Dam project to document his experiences
2012
Created the first artist book of the China Trilogy titled Don’t Follow Me, I am Lost
2013
Began photographing rural China extensively. Used the camera as an exploration tool. Created the second artist book of the China Trilogy titled Unintended Homecoming
2016
Started work on the third part of the China Trilogy titled Aged Innocence – incorporating the concept of archive
2019
Visited China for the last time before the COVID-19 pandemic
2020
Created an archive of photographs and collages based on the decade-long project in China
2021
Exhibited Aged Innocence at Miyako Yoshinaga Gallery in New York City – featuring 1,700 prints along with large sized collages
2022
Joined the India China Institute at The New School in New York City to compile BEING, a digital archive of photographs and documentary material collected between 2008 and 2019
